Ingredients

For the Tauhu:

  • 4 firm tofu blocks (cut into bite-sized pieces or triangles)
  • Cooking oil (for deep frying)

 

For the Kuah Rojak-style Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp Puteri Sos Cili
  • 1.5 tbsp Puteri Kicap Pekat
  • 1 tbsp Puteri Sos Tiram
  • 1 tbsp thick tamarind juice or 1/2 tbsp asam jawa paste (optional)
  • 1 tsp brown sugar or palm sugar (optional, for balance)
  • 1 tbsp water (adjust for thickness)
  • 1 tbsp ground roasted peanuts (optional for topping)

 

Optional Add-ons:

  • Sliced cucumber
  • Blanched bean sprouts
  • Shredded Carrots
  • Crushed peanuts or sesame seeds for garnish 

Instructions

  1. Fry the Tofu:
    • Pat dry the tofu pieces.
    • Deep-fry until golden and crispy. 
  2. Prepare the Kuah Rojak-style Sauce:
    • In a bowl, mix together:
    • Puteri Sos cili
    • Puteri Kicap Pekat
    • Puteri Sos Tiram
    • Tamarind juice (if using)
    • Sugar (if using)
    • Water (to loosen the sauce)
    • Stir well until smooth and thick. Adjust sweetness or sourness to taste.
  3. Serve
    • Arrange tofu on a plate with cucumber and bean sprouts.
    • Spoon the sauce over the tofu, or serve on the side.
    • Sprinkle crushed peanuts or sesame seeds on top.
