Samosa sardin

Samosa Sardin is a crispy, triangular pastry filled with spicy sardine mix. Crunchy on the outside, savoury and flavorful inside.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of sardines
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp Puteri chili sauce (optional, for extra kick)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Spring onion or coriander (chopped, optional)
  • Samosa pastry sheets (store-bought or homemade)
  • Flour and water mixture (to seal edges)
  • Oil for frying / Air fryer

Instructions

Prepare Filling:

  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Sauté onions and garlic until fragrant.
  • Add sardines (break them up with a spoon), and mash slightly.
  • Add Puteri chilli sauce, salt & pepper. Mix well.
  • Cook for 3–5 minutes until slightly dry. Let it cool.

Assemble Samosa:

  • Take a samosa sheet, fold it into a cone shape.
  • Fill with sardine mixture, then seal edges with flour paste. Repeat for all.


Cook

  • Deep fry until golden brown, or
  • Air-fry at 180°C for 10–12 mins (brush lightly with oil)
