Here’s a simple yet delicious dim sum recipe for chicken and shrimp dumplings! These juicy dumplings are packed with flavor and perfect for steaming or pan-frying.

Ingredients

  • 250 g minced beef/chicken/prawn
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • Square wonton wrappers (halal-certified)
  • Water (to seal the wrappers)
  • Puteri Cili Sos (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Make the Filling:
    • In a bowl, mix minced beef, onion, garlic & sesame oil
    • Stir until well combined.
  2. Wrap the Dumplings:
    • Place 1 tsp of filling in the centre of each wonton wrapper.
    • Gather the edges upward and gently press into an open-top dumpling (like siew mai).
    • Lightly wet the edges with water to help seal if needed.
  3. Serve:
    • Serve hot with Puteri Cili Sos on the side for dipping.
