Ingredients

  • 1 cup corn kernels (fresh, canned, or frozen)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup water (adjust as needed)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 stalks spring onion or chives, sliced 
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil (for frying)
  • Puteri Cili Sos (Served on the side for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Make the Batter:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, egg, and water. Mix into a smooth, thick batter.
    • Stir in the corn, chopped onion, and spring onion.
    • Season with salt and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Fry the Fritters:
    • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
    • Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil.
    • Flatten slightly and fry until golden brown and crispy on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. Serve:
    • Serve warm with Puteri Cili Sos on the side as a dipping sauce.
