Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken (about 1.5 kg), or 4–6 chicken quarters/thighs
  • 4 tbsp Puteri Sos Tiram
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp honey or brown sugar (optional, for mild sweetness)
  • Fresh herbs or lemon slices (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken:
    • In a bowl, mix Puteri Sos Tiram, garlic, oil, black pepper, and honey (if using).
    • Rub the mixture all over the chicken.
    • Let it marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight in the fridge.
  2. Roast:
    • Preheat oven to 200°C (fan) or 220°C (conventional).
    • Place chicken on a baking tray or roasting pan.
    • Roast for about 40–50 minutes (for parts) or 60–75 minutes (for whole chicken)
  3. Serve:
    • Let the chicken rest for 5–10 minutes after roasting.
    • Serve with rice, roasted vegetables, or salad.
