Ingredients

Ingredient (Makes 20-25 Wontons):

For the Wontons:

  • 250 g minced chicken or beef (halal)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 small spring onion, finely chopped
  • ½ tsp sesame oil (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 20–25 wonton wrappers
  • Water (for sealing)
  • Cooking oil (for deep frying)

 

For Dipping:

  • Puteri Cili Sos, served on the side

Instructions

  1. Make the Filling:
    • In a bowl, combine minced meat, garlic, spring onion, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
    • Mix well until combined.
  2. Assemble the Wontons:
    • Place a small spoonful of filling in the centre of each wonton wrapper.
    • Dab the edges with a little water.
    • Fold and seal into your preferred wonton shape (triangle, envelope, or classic pinch).
  3. Fry the Wontons:
    • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
    • Fry wontons in batches until golden brown and crispy (about 2–3 minutes).
  4. Serve
    • Serve hot with a small bowl of Puteri Cili Sos on the side for dipping.
