Vinegar Cucumber Salad

This cucumber salad recipe is made with fresh dill, onions, and a sweet and tangy vinegar dressing.

Ingredients

  • 2 Japanese or local cucumbers (thinly sliced)
  • 3 tbsp Puteri Vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp water (to dilute if needed)
  • Toasted sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Vegetables
    • Thinly slice cucumbers
    • Place in a bowl, sprinkle with a pinch of salt, and let sit for 10 minutes to draw out excess moisture.
    • Drain and lightly squeeze to remove water.
  2. Make the Dressing:
    • In a small bowl, mix Puteri Vinegar, sugar, and water. Stir until sugar dissolves.
  3. Toss the Salad:
    • Combine cucumbers with the vinegar dressing.
    • Mix well and let it chill in the fridge for 10–15 minutes before serving.
  4. Serve:
    • Garnish with toasted sesame seeds if desired.
    • Serve cold as a refreshing side
